It’s Time for Wall Clocks
It may be a sickness in our society that we are so dependent upon continuously knowing what time it is. It’s not a very dangerous sickness, however, and we’ve found ways to beautify it. At the home or office, wall clocks are great ways to add subtle character to every room. Well, not every room. Don’t feed the sickness. Leave clocks out of the bathroom.
The digital wall clock
People are attracted to digital wall clocks because they are incredibly easy to read. Anyone can tell their time. Digital clocks usually aren’t particularly beautiful, but they can very cool. Chrome, brass, wood; the works. Temperature or weather indicators are a common feature, too!

The antique wall clock
Antique wall clocks are classy and sophisticated. They sport an air of elegance, dignity, and… they tell the time. Antique styles often use Roman numerals, so make sure you can read them. Frames boast finishes of bronze, gold, and other pretty metals as well as wood or chrome. Antiques may have intricate carvings, or an authentic, aged look. Quite beautiful. A pendulum wall clock is a very traditional antique style that commands a real presence in the room
The retro wall clock
Retro clocks are colored brightly, sometimes with neon lights or jewel studs for a flashy touch. Most retro clocks come in very geometric shapes; even their circles seem more circular. It’s that retro thing. You’ll also find them in fun shapes like cats, flowers, or suns. They’re great as a kitchen wall clock; clear numbers and lots of bright wakefulness.
The atomic wall clock
Digital or not, the atomic wall clock is especially neat for being tuned to the radio signal that gives the precise time of day, all day, every day… and adjusting automatically for daylight savings. They come in all styles, and are only slightly more expensive than a regular clock.
Remember to check how the clock you choose runs. Buy the batteries before you get home, we all know how frustrating that can be. Make sure your walls will allow you to mount the clock as well. A large wall clock is necessary for bigger rooms where you’ll want to see the time for a distance. That, and clear numbering. Whatever the case; office, dining room, kitchen, bedroom… it’s imperative to have that timepiece, so you may as well do it with style. Find the right clock design for you, and you’ll never lag behind again.
