It seems that every time you turn around, retailers are offering a deal on bed pillows and claiming that their product is the most comfortable. Well, how does one decide which one to buy? Ultimately, the way to select a great pillow would be to try a few out, since everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to pillows. Most stores frown upon people taking their pillows for a test drive at home, but there is a way to do a little research if this really matters to you.

The greater percentage of down, the better, since down is the softest type of feather and will fluff back up easily. Down feather pillows are usually a bit more expensive, but will often last longer and down pillow lovers swear they are worth the extra cost.
If good support is high on your list, take a look at the memory foam pillows or other pillows filled with synthetic material than are labeled firm support. When you are shopping in a store you can do a little comparison-shopping by trying out the pillows in their packages. Online shoppers can benefit from customer reviews and testimonials.
