I am a writer and know the importance of having a good, comfortable place to write. Some people prefer to write while lying down in bed while others prefer to write at the kitchen table. I prefer to write at a desk. Writing at a desk allows me to be comfortable and alert. It also allows me to be able to have everything I need within arms reach and I can place it wherever I want which means I can choose to have it out in the open where other household members are going on with their daily lives or I can have it in a separate room that is peaceful and quiet and away from the chaos. Lately I have been choosing the latter, I get more done when there are no distraction to take me away from what I am doing.

Don’t care if it gets on the tiles just yet, you can even smear it in a 1/2 inch thick layer so that it covers everything. The most important thing is to fill the holes.

Once it’s dried, which would happen in ten to twelve hours, you can use a wet sponge to clean the surface. Use a hard, dense one that can tear off the excess dried grout easily. Make sure that the surface is clean and there are no white spots left on the tiles. You can apply a layer of lacquer to protect it from metal objects, scratches and dents. An alternative is to have a piece of glass cut to fit the top of your vanity, giving you a smooth surface to work on, and protecting your work from damage.

Whether you choose a classic wall console or a mission style sofa console table, the fun of decorating does not end there. Consoles are built for laying out your decorative pieces.
